Hi, I’m Dan Thornton – sci-fi author, Navy vet, and the kind of guy who thinks a weekend well spent involves riding motorcycles or building a replica plasma rifle in the garage. I served aboard the USS America during the Gulf War, where I wrangled F-14 Tomcats on the flight deck and learned the fine art of staying alive while jet engines tried to eat me. These days, I channel all that adrenaline and tech know-how into writing military science fiction.

My debut novel, Fleet of the Forgotten, blends my love of sci-fi with the chaos, camaraderie, and controlled insanity of real military life. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me suiting up for Comicon, quoting bad movies, or wondering if I can get away with building a replica of the Milano in the basement.

Sci-fi is in my blood – and I’m excited to finally share these stories with fellow fans.
